Inkgility birthday party invitation

Two piece invitation and RSVP card set for an Inkgility Club private event. Elegant serif with a handwritten party script, warm sparkler portrait, and a tight RSVP card designed to feel worth mailing back.

The best private event invitations respect the recipient enough to be considered pieces of print in their own right. This set treats the invitation as an object to save on the fridge rather than a data delivery vehicle. Type does the emotional work, the photo does the atmosphere, and the RSVP card is designed with the same care so it feels worth completing and returning.

Type pairing

Heavy modern serif for LINDA'S BIRTHDAY paired with a handwritten script for the word party. The contrast between the geometric serif and the loose script mirrors the tension between the formal event and the personal celebration inside it.

Photo panel

A candid sparkler portrait with warm bokeh sits inside a rounded rectangle window on the invitation. The photo does the atmosphere work so the type can stay quiet and elegant. Bokeh warms up the whole cream ground.

RSVP card

Companion card mirrors the invitation rounded corner shape and paper stock. Yes and no radio options, dietary requirement field, and a respond by date. Designed so the recipient can complete it in under a minute and drop it back in the pre paid envelope.

Production notes

Offset print on 300gsm cream cotton stock with rounded die cut corners. Warm charcoal ink for the body copy, gold foil accent on the small Inkgility Club mark. Envelope printed to match with a return address block already filled in.
